 Our design service is comprehensive and takes into account plan layouts for modern day living, integration of energy efficiency and the incorporation of renewable energy either at the initial build stage or at some point in the future. All our houses are designed to meet or exceed BRE Ecohomes excellent ratings and AECB Gold standard.
We design efficiently and wherever possible reduce material quantities through value engineering. We also reduce material waste in manufacture and construction by using modular design process and techniques.
Standard House Designs Near Zero CO2 Homes have developed a number of standard house designs that are available for a fee of £450 each which includes floor plans, elevations and sections all as required for submission to obtain Planning Approval (Statutory Fees and VAT excluded. Please note that a Block Plan, Site plan and Design & Access Statement will also be required for sumbimssion to obtain Planning Approval).
The standard house designs can be a starting point to ascertain the style and size of house you require. All of the standard house types can be modified (within structural boundaries) to change the internal layouts, size and materials used. There is an additional fee of £150 charged for amending the standard designs.
Bespoke Design If you do not find a suitable house design from our standard range, for a fixed fee of £1,250 Near Zero CO2 Limited will carryout full value engineered design for your new home to include your personal and site specific requirements. The plans are drawn to the stage where they can be used to obtaining Planning permission and Building Control approval. Full construction drawings will be provided at construction stage.
Where renewable self generating energy is a requirement we shall also compile an energy strategy and full thermal design.
