Our Motivation
The Environment & Climate Change . . The World stands on the brink of an environmental crisis and the scale of the problem is daunting. Catastrophe and extreme weather fills the television screens and front pages almost daily. Floods, violent storms, wild fires, drought, earthquakes, and tsunamis are predicted to become the norm within our children's lifetime. These events remind us of the intense power the Earth has to kill and wreck lives. We should not be complacent in our occupation of its surface.
The time has come for us all to stop and think about the unsustainable way in which we live, to look at reducing our environmental impact and work towards a better future for our children. If we all worked together the cumulative benefit to the environment would be far reaching.
Gordon Rothery & John Cotterill, founders of Near Zero CO2 Limited were becoming increasingly concerned about Global Warming and the possible effects that Climate Change would have on their young children's futures. They decided to use their profession, knowledge and skills to try and help reduce the emissions created during construction and throughout the lifetime of buildings which accounts for as much as 30% of total UK emissions.

Using our knowledge and experience in Architecture and house building we can help you change your lifestyle to reduce your environmental impact. By "bringing it all together" we can achieve this within affordable boundaries to maximum affect through new build housing and self build.
